Senior Regulatory Manager (REF: MHC36) - Assistant Principal Officer

The Appointee will be responsible for managing the statutory regulatory functions as defined by the Mental Health Acts under the direction of the Director of Standard’s & Quality Assurance. The regulation of Mental Health Services involves registering, monitoring and inspecting mental health services and taking appropriate enforcement activity as necessary. The successful candidate will actively manage the MHC business functions of regulation and monitor compliance with legislation, regulations, rules and codes of practice and manage and support the regulatory team. In addition, they will take responsibility and provide support for the development and discharge the business objectives of the Regulatory Team and ensure that all staff within the Regulatory Team take responsibility in fulfilling their duties in line with theMental Health Commission’s policies and procedures. Educated to a minimum of NFQ Level 8, applicants for the post should have an understanding of regulatory models, mental health services, experience of performance management and development and a minimum of 3 years previous work experience in a similar role.

Regulatory Manager (REF: MHC37) – Higher Executive Officer

The Regulatory Manager will be responsible for supporting the Senior Regulatory Manager in planning, implementing and delivering divisional plans in line with the organisation’s strategic / business plans. In addition, they will provide ongoing management and implementation of the Commission’s regulatory process that includes registration, compliance, ongoing monitoring, enforcement and data management. Educated to NFQ Level 8 within a related discipline, the Appointee will have knowledge of Mental Health Legislation, regulations and codes of practice as well as patient safety methodologies and quality improvement.

HR Manager (REF: MHC38) – Higher Executive Officer

The Appointee will provide best practice human resources knowledge, team supervision, advice and technical management to support the delivery of the Commission’s business strategy.  The range of duties is broad and will include leading and supporting the Commission in terms of embedding a Performance Management System, Recruitment and Resourcing, Workforce Planning and shaping and delivering a Learning and Development Plan. Educated to NFQ Level 8, candidates must have demonstrable experience in a rounded HR role, ideally within a Public Sector environment.
