About the Roles

Senior DSS Case Manager (REF: MHC23) Permanent Contract

The Appointee will support the Director with the overall design of the DSS future service, and in particular take responsibility for key decisions relating to the business processes and ICT systems requirements for the operations of the Case Management team. They will also manage the activities involved in the development of the operational teams within Case Management, including definition of role profiles, defining performance management criteria, recruitment and ongoing management. Candidates must have three years’ previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a regulatory/public administration or research role and be educated to level 8 on the Irish NFQ.

Senior DSS Complaints and Investigations Manager (REF: MHC24) Permanent Contract

The Appointee will be required to support the overall design of the future DSS service, and in particular take responsibility for key decisions relating to the business processes and ICT systems requirements for the operations of the Complaints and Investigations team. They will also manage the activities involved in development of the operational teams within Complaints and Investigations, including definition of role profiles, defining performance management criteria, recruitment, training and ongoing management and mentoring. Candidates must have three years’ previous experience in a supervisory or management role to include dealing with complaints and conducting investigations and understanding the legal implications of such and be educated to level 8 on the Irish NFQ.

Senior DSS Panel Manager (REF: MHC25) Permanent Contract

The Appointee will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Panel Management function within the DSS. This includes workforce planning, demand and capacity management, quality assurance and continuous improvement. In addition, they will manage the activities involved in the development of the operational teams within Panel Management, including definition of role profiles, defining performance management criteria, recruitment and ongoing management. Candidates must have three years’ previous experience in a supervisory or management role to include experience in a recruitment/selection. Workforce planning and skills selection/assessment, developing standard operating procedures/policies and be educated to level 8 on the Irish NFQ are also pre-requisites.

DSS Business Solutions Manager (REF: MHC26) Permanent Contract

The DSS is currently seeking the role of a Business Solutions Manager who will be required to support the design phase of the DSS, working closely with DSS staff and the ICT solution providers to ensure that the delivered systems meet the operational needs of the DSS. Once operational, they will take a Team Lead role and act as the business owner of the IT applications and the primary point of contact with IT systems’ providers. Candidates will have experience working in a business analysis (or related) role and have experience of working within structured change, project methodologies and be educated to level 8 on the Irish NFQ.
