The Mental Health Commission has welcomed the publication of Ireland’s first mental health promotion plan, “Pathways to Wellbeing”.
The Chief Executive of the Mental Health Commission, John Farrelly, said: “I really welcome the vision of this plan, as we all strive together for a healthy Ireland where positive mental health and wellbeing is actively promoted, supported and valued across society and whole of Government.
“The strategic direction for mental health care in Ireland is very clear with this plan as well as Ireland’s national mental health policy, ‘Sharing the Vision, both of which will help continue the transition of our mental health services. We know that prevention is better than cure and that population health is key.”
