Mental Health Commission Strategy 2019-2022
Our 2019-2022 strategy document is titled 'Protecting People’s Rights' and was launched on February 21st, 2019.
The 2019-2022 strategy is the sixth such strategic document since the establishment of the MHC in 2002. The document sets out clear priorities to enhance our core role as the regulator for mental health services in Ireland while broadening the attention and raising awareness of the fundamental purpose of protecting people’s rights. It also charts an ambitious course for the 2019-2022 period for the MHC to realise its vision for an Ireland with the highest quality mental health and decision support services underpinned by a person’s human rights.
